Privacy
Written to be read. The site has no accounts and no analytics today, so there is little to say about you; most of what we store is about the services we audit.
Who is responsible
PickAuditor, reachable at contact@pickauditor.com, is the controller of any personal data described on this page. Write to that address for anything privacy-related; we answer within 30 days.
What we store
About you, as a reader
- No accounts. You cannot sign up, log in or save anything on the site today. Pro and profile claims are handled by email until that changes; when it does, this page is revised first.
- No analytics. We run no analytics script and set no tracking cookie. If analytics is added, it will be a cookieless, aggregate kind and this page will say which.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records each request — network address, page, time, browser identifier — for security and error diagnosis, for a short retention period set by the provider. We do not join these logs to anything else.
- Emails you send us. Kept for as long as the matter they concern is open, and for disputes as long as the dispute record exists, because the resolution note may refer to them. The dispute text you send is published on the disputes page; personal details other than the role (service or reader) are removed before publication.
- Affiliate clicks. When you follow an affiliate link we record the page, the time, the country derived from your network address, the referrer and the link. No name, no email, no account. Details in the affiliate disclosure.
- Fonts and assets are served from our own domain. No request is made to a font or asset network on your behalf.
About services
The database holds services' public information (name, website, pricing as displayed, sports covered), their public picks, their public marketing claims (quoted, at most 200 characters), disputes and resolutions, and contact addresses of people who have claimed a profile. Pick reasoning is quoted at most 300 characters. This data is the product and is public, except contact addresses, which are not published.
What we do not do
- Sell, rent or share personal data with anyone for their own purposes.
- Profile readers, build audiences or target advertising. The single sponsor slot on a page is the same for every reader.
- Track you across other sites or accept tracking from others.
- Serve readers under 18; the site is for adults and says so on every page.
Archived public pages
To audit a service we fetch its public pages and keep the raw HTML for at least 24 months in private storage. This is evidence: it lets a dispute be settled by what the page showed at a given time. The archive is a copy of pages anyone could see; it is not indexed, not searchable by the public and never republished. It may incidentally contain names of public figures (players, coaches) and, on some sites, visible user comments. We do not extract or process any of that; only the picks and claims are read.
If you believe an archived page contains your personal data and want it removed, write to us with the URL and the date; we will redact the data from the archived copy if the request is well founded, and say so in the reply.
Providers
The site is hosted on Vercel and the database and file storage run on Supabase. Both process data on our behalf under their data-processing terms and may do so on infrastructure outside your country. Emails are handled by our mail provider. No other third party receives data from the site today.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and similar laws you can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to processing, and complain to your data protection authority. There is very little to hold — an email you sent, a click record with no identifier — but the rights apply. Write to contact@pickauditor.com with “Privacy request” in the subject; the contact page has a template. We answer within 30 days.
One limit: the audit record itself — picks, grades, claims and published dispute texts — concerns services, not people, and is kept as a matter of public record. A service disputes it through the disputes process, not through a deletion request.
Changes
When accounts, analytics, payments or any new data collection is introduced, this page is revised before the feature goes live and the revision is dated in the changelog. The date at the top of this page is the last revision.
